The Fender Custom Shop 1966 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic in Black is part of the 2026 Collection Time Machine Series and includes a black hardshell case. The body is a 2-piece alder construction in the ’64 Jazz Bass style with a lacquer finish. Hardware is chrome and nickel, and the pickguard is a relic 4-ply tortoise ’64 Jazz Bass style.
The neck features a Medium Tint nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a ’60 Jazz Bass “U” profile. The fingerboard is AAA rosewood with a 7.25" radius and pearloid block inlays with vintage dot spacing. It includes 20 frets, a 1.5" nut width, and a 2.5" butt width. A second strap button is mounted on the headstock.
